Cannot connect to Steam or Steam forums?

Anyone else having problems?

Can't even connect to their support page - http://support.steampowered.com/

its hardly the end of the world infact its pretty much a non-issue. hardly worth talking about. steam as a whole is fantastic.

Indeed... But the sake of a fall back server responding with a message so Steam knows the main server is down so it actually say the servers are down and will be back soon, rather leavign people completely in the lurch???? At the moment we get:-
1) A message saying there is a problem and you cannot connect. Imlpying the problem is at your end...
2) Offering a link to tips how to solve the connection problem, which when you connect it you get a non-existant/loading page...

Indeed... Until the next time the servers are taken down and we go thru all this nonsense again, for the sake of one informative message from Steam - "Sorry our servers are down for maintenance at the moment. Try later..."

Not hard is it!
