Cannot control my gpu fans

Hello, I'm having an issue setting the fan speed on my gpu. I recently installed a Prolimatech MK-26 with a pair of 1200 rpm fans that weren't doing the job cooling it. I noticed with them they were 1202 speeds etc but the gpu fan speed% was not affecting them, they would always be at same speeds regardless of where the fan controller % was at.

Now I've just bought a 5400 rpm typhoon 120mm fan and I'm having the same problems.

In CCC/MSI and speedfan software setting the speed of the gpu fan does nothing, even putting it to 0% the fan stays at 100%.

It's a bloody racket and need to control it. The speeds are being read, so I don't understand why I cannot control it...

Help would be much appreciated for my ears :(

both 120mm fans have a 3 pin going into a splitter into the gpu fan port on pcb. Each fan also requires a 4 pin molex that I've hooked to the psu. Both molex and 3 pin come out from the fan itself and are part of the same circuit/wiring.

Could it be the bios? I remember flashing to the Ghz bios and I had a problem since it though I only had 1 fan and the stock cooler was a dual fan and had issues and switched back to stock bios.

The fans are likely drawing most/all of their power from the molex which isn't going to be controlled by the graphics card.

They'll just run at full speed while connected to the molex connector from the PSU.

This is what I was thinking. So all the fan bundles that come with OcUK's prolimatech MK-26 bundles cannot be controlled, unless say you hook them up to a fan controller?
