I've got this so called iTunes file sitting in My Documents. You cannot move it, you cannot delete it. It acts like a normal file and the DOS Prompt shows it as being 8mb in size. It claims to be an "MPEG Layer 3 Audio File".

When you right click it:

Play
Open
Add to Windows Media Playlist
Play with Windows Media Player
Open With...
Send to

If i open it, it just opens iTunes and does nothing except open some 500 large pencils movie file and tries to load artwork for all my mp3's on there.

I've tried programs to remove it, but they say it's an invalid file. NOD32 says it cannot open it...

Tried running safe mode, but same problems as above.

I'm totally lost and confused as to how i get rid of this file. Does ANYONE have any idea how the hell i remove it?

Hmm, ok, I could be wrong on this, because it's been a long time since I've done it, but if you enclose the file name in quotation marks, it should allow you to delete it.

that seemed to get passed that problem, but it says the filename or extension is too long :(

ah yes! i sorted it! Just put "del <first bit of filename>*.mp3

and it seemed to have cleared it :D
