Cannot Find Outlook Sync Schedule on S8

My S8 appears to be syncing continuously with the Outlook server or at least every minute or so which must be draining my battery as I get a new email notifications continuously. Yesterday I had eighteen separate emails in less than half an hour. I have searched through the Outlook menu and I cannot find the sync schedule to change this to less frequent checks.

Can anyone help?

Which email app are you using? If the account is added using Exchange Activesync then it should only sync when it detects change. If you want to have control over this then add the email account as IMAP, this will allow you to change the sync intervals.

Hi thanks for the reply. I am using the Outlook app and it is a work account.

If your work offers IMAP settings, remove the account from Outlook, then add it as an IMAP account.
