A mate has brought around a notebook and I am stumped. He was reinstalling XP. While it was installing he went away for about 15 minutes and when he came back the screen was blank. Now when you turn the laptop on you get the screen telling you to press F2 to enter the bios but nothing happens if you try to enter the bios. After that the screen goes blank. if you press any of the keys they make a clicking sound. If you hold down a key the clicking sound is repeated rapidly. Also the laptop will only switch on with the power supply on.
