CANNOT get my mic to work

ive already givven this up once before but i need to try and solve it before i have to buy a USB mic.


i have an OEM X-Fi and i cant get the mic to work whatever i try.

is there a secret button sumwhere ? ive tried everythign !
a friend told me to enable digital i/o by going
control pannel / sounds / voice / volume / advanced / tick the box

thats done... nothing

can anyone shed some light ?

I have the exact same problem - nothing seems to resolve it. Anyone have any ideas?

Wow lol, i got a shock when i saw this thread... cant remember posting that ! lol.

i never did find the answer... i just theink the OEM X-fi's just dont work !
everyhting on it is fine, except the mic.

in the end i bought a speed link pure voice USB mic. works a reat #
