This is really doing my head in. The driver that came with my Samsung S850 just will not install and neither for that matter will the updated one. I have heard a number of complaints about mass storage devices not showing in win xp and think it is about time Microsoft sorted this out. Anybody have any ideas about this problem? Thanks.

What happens if you remove the driver completely and plug the camera in? Does XP detect the camera using its own drivers?

Do you have any error messages that might help us solve this?

Absolutely nothing. I don't have a problem with my dslr (sony alpha) but the Samsung is no go. There is also a problem with my epson as Everytime I switch it on, the pc tries to dwnload the driver for it that is already installed and working fine. I know it's a usb issue-or rather a mass storage device not showing issue-but it always comes down to the usb ports. I am using a DS3P mobo. Thanks
