Hi All
I'm new to this forum and was wanting help with my PC, I am currently running a
MB: Asus Rog Strix B450-f Gaming
PSU:750W
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700x
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5700xt
RAM: Corsair Vengence Pro 16gb DDR4
SSD: 120gb
HDD: 2tb
Monitor: 144Hz

Games I play mostly is rust and fortnite but fps has dropped dramatically. Put all settings in games to lowest to maximize my fps, but is still very low. What fps should I be expecting with the above setup.
Please let me know if any more info is required.

The 5600/5700X are releasing soon and should give a decent improvement over a 2700X, also whats the ram speed you are running?.

If you install CPUZ and click on the memory tab then it will show the speed and timings you are running, bare in mind the speed shown will be half of what it's running so if it shows 1600 then it's 3200 etc.

Do I understand that you are saying that your fps were ok but dropped a lot recently? Have you checked for heat building up and throttling your pc, perhaps there is a build up of dust in the case? Also it wouldn't hurt to replace the HDD with a SSD at some point to speed up loading of the games

When I first built the pc my fps was okay but on rust im struggling to get 60. The temp is fine in the pc but i can see a little bit of dust build up behind the CPU fan on the grill looking thing.

It will set the ram speed to the XMP profile which if it's 3200 or 3600 as you said then it will be a large improvement over 2133 which the base speed.

I went into the bios and it already said its set to docp standard. Does this mean it is already overclocked?
Also i go into task manager and it says the speed is 3200 MHz.

Also when i go into CPUZ it is now saying the DRAM frequency is 1596 MHz

Maybe you had a memory training issue before that reset it back to stock but it's it's now showing 1596 then your all good

See if your fps is any better in fortnite.

Fortnites not really the main issue, its rust. even though rust is a hard game to get high fps on but i still think i should be getting more. I have a better pc than my friends and they are getting a lot more fps than me. im just very confused.

I tested my rust and my fps almost doubled! I am playing it tomorrow so i will let you know how its getting on. Thankyou for all of your advice.

If you find the memory speeds keep dropping regularly then it maybe that you'll need to manually adjust it as either the memory or the CPUs IMC isn't 100% stable, if that turns out to be the case then feel free to let us know but for now you can get back to gaming. :)
