For starts then you will need to find out what game ports are needed (you need to open ports on your router to allow outside traffic local access to access your local pc address).

Should be pretty easy to do, although you won't be able to run a big network server to due bandwidth restrictions.

Cheers.
Except being the network noob, I don't know how I would do that. I know how to access the setting on the router, but how do I know what to look for? And once I've found it, what changes would I make?

Which game is it?

Find which ports it uses, log into your router and go to the port forwarding/services area. Now enter the ports and select the end point (your PC).

Sorted. :)

2302 (User Datagram Protocol [UDP]) - the game host listens on this port.
2303 (UDP) - the game client connects to the game host through this port.

Open both these ports up mate, redirecting them to your internal IP of your machine. :)
