Hello i have been running my pc (E6600, GA-965P-DS3rev 2.0, PC6400 4gb OCZ platinum memory, Corsair HX 520W) at 3ghz with the mem @ 833 for the past year or so, until recently when i replaced my 8800GTS 320mb gfx card with a new Gainward 4870 1gb card.
Now my pc wont post when i try to overclock it. I have searched the web and have found 2 posts describing a similar problem with same mobo & gfx card but there have been no solutions or updates so it has not been helpful.
I have tried removing all but 1 stick of memory, sound card and tried overclocking it then to see if it was a power problem but it still wouldnt post. I have also tried 3 different motherboard bios's. I replaced my 4870 with the old gfx card and it worked at 3ghz again so it seems to be some sort of compatibility issue between the mobo and the card?
I understand that the PSU is a bit on the low side but it is AMD/ATi approved for the gfx card so i would have thought that wouldnt be an issue.
Any help or advice you could give me?
