Cannot put windows 7 into sleep mode :/

Whenever I goto start>shutdown>sleep the screen goes black for half a second then comes back on like nothing happened. I went through device manager and disabled everything able to wake my computer, I disabled all the wake timers, i allowed to computer to sleep while streaming multimedia and I tried this command in the command prompt "Powercfg -devicequery wake_armed" and it came up with nothing...

Please help me this is really frustrating.

It's not as silly as it sounds.

Any potential vibrations that could be setting off an optical mouse?

Enough vibrations is picked up by my RAT 7 laser based mouse

I was thinking more about the shininess of the desk - my Abyssus won't let my PC go to sleep unless it's in just the right place. :rolleyes:

It wasn't anything to do with my mouse as I disabled it being allowed to wake my computer. All I did was turn my Hybrid Sleep to no and it worked fine

What do you get with powercfg -lastwake and powercfg -requests ?

That should help you find out either what last woke the machine, or what is preventing the machine from sleeping.
