Hello.

I have a D-link Dsl 2640r and a 2680r (tried both) and cannot get the outside world to see my server...it can't even be direct joined. I can use evolve for the time being but want to get away from that.

Here's what I've tried so far:

Windows firewall off
All ports forwarded (2302-2305, 8716 and more)
uPnP on and off
In and out of DMZ
Static local ip
Enabled all the protocols such as FTP, http etc.

Steam web query api sees my server.

I can RDP into my machine and pin the wan.

Does anybody have any suggestions as to what could be my problem?

Thanks a lot.

You said you cant direct join? Does thst mean you cant join at LAN level?

Make sure you arent dmzing and port forwarding together. Take it out of dmz and forward the ports both tcp and udp

Windows server running a3?

Ive run an a2oa before from a windows install so may be able to help a bit.

Thanks very much.

I'm port forwarding currently with no DMZ and it's still not working.

I can join at man level no problem at all.

Its a TADST configured server running on 8.1.

Weird question but have you rebooted the router since setting up port forwarding?
Did you say rdp was working and is that from wan or LAN? Do tpu have any other wan services successfully working? Eg ssh

I RPD'd from my phone on 3g

I've rebooted the router numerous times.

My PC has a static internal ipnand when I port forward I do it to that IP.

Port forward shows the required ports are open.

I never tried SSH but I will.

Finally, I am taking a note of my external wan IP everytime I try as I know this can change without a static ISP IP.

I cant think of a windows program but if you can lay your hands on a linux box you could try doing an nmap on your wan ip? That will tell you which ports are open in your firewall and help you see if they truly are open or not.

Thanks.

Weirdly it showed up for about three seconds before, not to be seen since

OK it's working now through steam direct join at least.

I had to join it from lan then I can be joined through steam.

I'll see whether I can get it on the server list next.

Thanks a lot.
