cannot sleep and work in 3 hours....

anyone not really feeling christmasy?

I'm in the Christmas spirit, but not right now....gash. I can hear Mum's bf up getting ready for work, que him walking in soon wondering why I'm up...nosey sod.

As a dispatcher, i'm on NHS band 4, atm my pay is 17k+25% so around 22k.

Intense isn't the word sometimes, last night we have double our normal workload for a Saturday (over 2000 incidents) and we struggled to get breaks done for both us and the crews, my normal role is Radio, so you have to be on your toes taking shouts from crews, as well as making sure jobs are allocated, but the Commander for the control room bought us all Pizza, so it wasn't all bad :D

As horrible as it is taking the calls....it sounds like a good job! :)

Now share it around ;)

Seriously though, I hate that feeling when you just can't sleep - it makes the day at work drag so much as you're basically a spaced-out zombie all day :(

Ja, not looking forward to today....so much to do. gash :(

Nothing like the feeling of palming something off to someone else, just so you can sod off to the bog to roll out a five curler completely stress-free :D

Where are you working now - closer to home and out of the smoke?

Haha so true, best one "you know dude, I WOULD sort this one out, but I really feel you are the man for the job"

"but.."

"knew I could count on you"

Working in Kent now doing all sorts of IT support, still venture to central London reguarly though :)

lol Dangerstat.

God I'm not even feeling tired yet or the *I've been up all night and I'm going to be a zombie* feeling.

The tiredness hit me at about 5:30, Zombified a about 6:30 then I had some red bull and all is \o/ :p

Red bull is a good idea, however! My car is blocked in by my mums bfs pointlessly big Nissan truck, gah. Gotta wait till he gets up.

Ouch - do you stagger your working hours to avoid all the inevitable pile-ups and congestion in the mornings and evenings? I've spent far too many hours stuck waiting at that bloody place when working with a mate :(
Well fortunately the work so far has been during the day so I've managed to avoid it.....its usually chock and block though :(

Zombie mode starting to kick in now...

Man, I'm so behind the times. Why are you back with the parents? Unlucky.

Belle and her bf are settling down. She's now pregnant and he's there 6 nights a week - I don't want to be in the way of all that :)

Right, I was up for about 36hours without stopping, gave up at 8pm yesterday and went to bed and just crashed - slept right through till 10am this morning.
