Cannot update Win7.

I get this error message when trying to turn on auto updates.

The 'more information' link doesn't do anything.

I am the system administrator. Nobody else uses my pc, and i haven't changed any settings since reinstalling Win7 about 3 months ago.

What else can i try?

What version of Windows 7? You see this message when you edit the local policy, question is why are you seeing it on your machine.

It's ultimate 64 bit. The help and support centre doesn't work at all either, The uninstall feature doesn't start (i have to use Ccleaner to uninstall stuff) and desktop gadgets don't work.

Are you using an Administrator account?

Yes. i've lost admin privileges it seems. Tried setting up another user account and giving admin rights to that and everything is ok, but when i swap it back i get this problem.
