Cannot view networked computers

I have an odd problem, i can see the computers on my network (all xp), but i cannot go any further. It says 'connection failed'.

So i cant actually see the files shared.

I have tried connect to server too.

The network itself is fine, and my mac can connect to other xp comps with vnc.

Im using 10.5.2

Any ideas?
