Hi all

My new monitor came today the Asus vg248qe

I have a few 3d movies on my computer so as this monitor is a 3D one, I thought id watch a 3D film.

So I started cyberlink powerdvd 10 and selected my film, it started then I clicked on the 3D icon and I keep getting a message that read:

cyberlink powerdvd could not enable 3D Playback, try using a different 3D display

I just cannot figure out what im doing wrong, I have done that BD advisor and everything is GREEN
my monitor is connected to my computer via a dual link DVI cable

my system specs are more then capable of playing 3d

intel i5 3570k
asus sabertooth z77
corsair vengeance pro ddr3 16gb
Asus R9 290

can anybody give me any advice please

Could it be that the monitor u have is a nVidia 3D vision monitor that only works in 3D with nVidia cards. Ur sig says u have an AMD Radion gfx card. Maybe it will work with a hack of some sort.

U need the 3D vision kit

I know this is over 1 yr old like but yes I bought the r9 290 form overclockers

iv still nto managed to solve the problem, I know I need an NVidia card

You will also need nvidias 3D vision kit which includes the active glasses and receiver. These monitors dont work with passive 3D glasses.
