Canoe and Kayak

I don't see a Kayak event. Just a canoe event. Aren't those basically the same thing...?

Simple way to notice is that canoe have only one blade to the paddle, kayak have two blades so one at either end of the paddle. Canoeist kneel rather than sitting down but probably what confuses many is both canoes and kayaks are enclosed due to the demands of slalom.

Anyone thing it is a bit rich of the organising oversight bodies to decide to ban all Russian Paralympian athletes from the games, yet let the big names go ahead and compete?

As said they are separate organisations, for my money the IPC have done what the IOC should have done. Both organisations are supposed to take the lead for their respective groups of athletes and safeguard sport for legitimate competitors - I'd suggest that the IPC have done this, the IOC gave up the decision, responsibility and any pretence at moral authority with their position on this.

So happy for Joe Clarke. Hope to see him at lee valley for a good party :D
Great for the sport and should get more people down at the white water centre for me to try take out with my boat lol. Might pop down there today for today's action. 4 years ago it inspired me to start it up and now I can watch it like I'm watching my footy team. Great stuff
