Canon 17-55 IS USM

It's been too long and I've only been taking pics on and off (mainly for client jobs and whatnot instead of general interest)

A change of job description, new car, some family commitments and new computer parts etc all attributed to this I guess but now things are all cleared pretty much and I wanted to treat myself.

Does anyone have the Canon 17-55 IS USM too? I need some sample shots to keep me occupied until Friday~ when my copy will arrive :)
 
I looked into this for some weeks before deciding on that lens, I'm not going to really go full frame anytime soon and the 350D has still yet to limit thing it's being used for (thankfully this is good heh) and the 17-55 is the only lens with a spec and range that I require/use weekly.

I considered the 24-70 2.8L but 24mm is not really wide enough and the 17-40L was a little too slow with a little less on the long end for portraits.

I'll see how it goes, I actually ended up using the 18-55 more than the teles hence this choice.

Will post thoughts/samples when it arrives too.

It did indeed come today and so far so good, I think my arm might break soon though, it's very heavy and all the weight on a 350D is front biased so is rather tedious!

I like it though, it seems to be nice and sharp at 2.8 and focuses nice and fast.

Won't be able to tell if it is worth the money until I shoot the next wedding but so far it's looking promising xD
