Still undecided about which of these to choose... I shoot DSLR Video which is important to note!!

I have the 5d mkii and mkiii.. the extra stop of light, although made negligible by my 5d mkiii, is still of some concern on the mkii. I have to say that I am liking everything I hear about the Tamron. Sharp and quick and of a similar price to Canon alternative. I get the longer focal range on the Canon... but that extra stop of light can come in really handy when shooting in low light situations, and you get the shallower depth of field. I love shooting 50mm range, when I use my 50 1.4 I'm normally stopped down to F3.2 to F4 for the focal plain anyway!! but it is nice to be able to go shallower if you want or need to....

Any of you guys using the Tamron! .. I know the 24-105 is a loved lens with the DSLR community!! that lens gets a lot of love.

After some careful consideration and a lot of reading, I went for the Tamron. This will be perfect for video coupled with the the mk3... I will probably leave this lens on there 80 percent of the time... its perfect for what I do!! so I am happy.

Thanks guys I appreciated your thoughts.
