Hi,

Please can someone advise me whether paying £400 for a brand new canon 350d with the 18-55mm lens and the usual free goodies that come with this package is a good deal?

Also a friend had suggested once you take over a certain amount of shots the camera does not perform to its potential?

1. Yes

2. No, with normal care and keeping glass/sensor clean it'll take just as good photos years down the line as it did the day you bought it (actually they'll probably get better as your skill improves)

Absolute rubbish, image quality and camera performance does not degrade with use !!
