Canon 40D err99

Hi guys..

Iv got a Canon 40D with an err99 on it..

Iv tried different lenses, even with no lens, Coin battery, Different main battery, Different cf card even no card. It does take a shot and save it to the card but gives err99 straight after it and you have to pull the battery out and do it again. You can display the image back on the screen so it does kinda work..

Any ideas iv not thought about.. And if not any places to get it repaired if at all worth it. I'm in Bristol should this help.

It was working fine a week ago got it out to take some photos of the daughter and bam.

Try cleaning the lens contacts on the camera and using a different battery if you can. Err99 is Canon speak for "I'm broken but I don't know why" :-/

Have tried with two batteries and with and with out different lenses.. Will try the contacts tonight.
