Nice find, thought the buzzing noise from my 55-250 was the IS working and apparently this firmware will stop that ! winner!

Anyone got this working ? Every time I try to update it just says there is an error 
, are these things region specific or ?
EDIT: working now, seems it will only update with a canon specific battery
