used but mint condition

package as above - ive been offered this for £75 delivered

comments?

how much is the hard case and UV filter worth anyway as the lens can be got for approx £70-£80 new anyway i guess?

Can't comment on the value of the case, but a few of my lenses came with cases - I don't use them.

Got my kit bag for transportation, and, AFAIK, you're not supposed to keep lenses in tight cases when not in use (to avoid fungus).

UV filter is worth a couple of quid.

This is the lens I was on about here, right?

It is £70 new, not sure if it comes with a case - what filter is that?

Edit: sorry, didn't read your post properly. You can get a 52mm UV filter for around £10, not sure how much the case is worth - try knocking him down a tenner.

id offer him £45 max. i only payed 55 for it brand new, a year ago, and can be had for under 65 including delivery brand new now. the case is pointless, as is the UV filter. The only reason for a uv filter really is to protect the lens element, and it's recessed enough for it not to be a problem on this lens.

Tom.

ok well i got it in the end for £60

the lens is mint condition (as new to me) and the filter is a B+W 52E KR1.5 1.1

leather case is nice too will hold onto my 35-80 in that as i think the 50 will get a lot of use from me :)

yea i was trying to hold out for a mk1 but then i thought the best thing to do is probably get a cheapish mkII then provided i find it useful and worthwhile etc. save up for the 1.4 version as theres no difference between the mkI and mkII so if its just for vanity its not worth it.

the mkI are generally going for £100-£110+ on the bay at the mo!! what is that all about - how to make a cheap lens more expensive than it should be eh!
