I currently use a Sony a200 as a newb camera but getting into my photography a lot recently. and want to move to Canon before pushing a lot of money into it.

I am new and getting with everything just want a camera that i can push further then this a200.

So wondering anyone got experience and advise.

Its only just been released, so you probably won't find too many owners yet.

It will likely be Canon's top selling DSLR, much like the other XXXD series bodies before it, so you can't really go wrong with it if that is what you are asking.

If you have the money then buy one, however if its money you are worried about then you could probably buy an older model for less. The main differences are its improvements in auto-focus which further extends to its video mode as well. It also has a touch screen, which I thought would be a bit rubbish, but the Digital Rev review showed how it was capacative touch and actually worked out alright.

Ah right the available from dates on amazon is a bit out then as it was 8th June for body only, I took that as a pre-order for the release day.

Quite a few user reviews out and about, although many review sight aren't quite there yet. DPReviews comparison chart quite honestly makes the camera look awful as the test shows the previous gen (600d/550d) gives better iso/image quality across the board. Odd given they share the same sensor?

It is hard to imagine it being worse really since not a lot has changed. The Digitalrev tv review of it didn't seem to pick any huge holes in it although it wasn't exactly a very technical review lol

I am defiantly going to wait for more reviews to arrive i think before defiantly going for that.

Be nice to see what pops up the DigitalRev review made it sound like a good entry level camera.

If you want to try one out, Jessops stores have a demo model in, or at least Bristol Cribbs Causeway does. It's a nice bit of kit :)
