Canon A70 help needed

I've been given a Canon A70 at work to take pictures of items but the problem I'm running into is that I take about 12 pictures of the same thing and hopefully one turns out alright. Its as though I've got a shake but I've had people watching me and they say I don't shake but the pictures come out blurred.
Does anybody know any settings that I can try it on to give a better focus/less shake etc?

Can't you just set the dial to Auto? Should select the most suitable settings, and if you're not wanting anything to fancy it should be fine.

Solutions includes

1 - Use shutter speed faster than 1/60
2 - Light the subject better
3 - Use a tripod
4 - Use a flash
5 - eat more bananas
