Why not just buy a CIS system and be done with it ? Cheaper, needs refilling 1/10 as often and once installed and primed you don't have to mess about with syringing cart's.

I'm waiting until somebody has successfully fitted one to a Canon Pixma MP500
all in one multiprinter before i buy one as the few people that have tried generic
CIS for canon with the MP500 have had problems with routing in the tubes without fouling up the paper feed area or the DVD printer draw.

One person who cut a hole in the DVD printer draw to route the tubes ended up with the printer saying that the draw was open all the time and refused to print paper.so a Spongeless - Refillable Ink Cartridge will do for now as they hold more
ink than the standard carts but i've only found them forsale in the far east.
