I removed the SD card from my Canon 500D at the weekend and when i went to put it back in it wouldnt lock into place, it just pushes against the spring and pops back out. I've tried just closing the compartment but it says "no memory card" so it obviously cant be tricked so easily. I've also tried a different SD card with the same result.
I'm going on holiday in just over a week so not enough time to get it fixed properly
Has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it? Can anyone offer a temporary workaround?
