Canon Flashguns

I am looking for a Flashgun for my 350D after finding the pop up one a little poor and also slow at recycling.

Any suggestions? I have looked at the 430ex and it is around my budget so if anyone has had a chance to use this I would like to hear your opinions. Where is the power source for these guns?

Really nice piece of kit. Power source is 4 AA batteries.

Thanks. I was hoping it would be a rechargeable battery like the camera.

You can use AA rechargeables, they're pretty cheap and they'll give you a quicker recycling time as well.
