First of all, I wish o/c sold these and the refills.

I'm thinking of buying the system, and wonder if any other member has used one.

Are they easy to fit (do I need to cut the printer case?)
Do they print as good as canon carts?

Any tips on fitting and replacing ink would be useful.

Thanks in advance.

I wanted to get one recently b ut I'm unsure now. There's a printer shop near me that sells a HP Photosmart C5100 with some carts that never need changing just refilling for £150 (retails for £85 on the net) and sells full set of ink for £60 which he rekons is worth around £600 of canon carts.

He said they don't touch canons because they're prone to more problems and the HP is perfect for a refilling system, it's not ciss but there service looks good and he knows what he's talking about.

Think is for £40 I can get a CISS system for my iP4200 but I have no idea which ones are decent and if something goes wrong there's no support.

Hi I don't use Canon but I have an Epson printer R285 running a CISS system, very easy to fit and the prints are the same as
Original cartridges , google how to fit your printer, I wouldn't go back to single cartridges :D

You are lucky that your CISS system is working.
I know many vendors who will not stock CISS now and only do the refillable cartridges.
