Canon IXUS 800 IS - Any good ?

It's absolutely blummin brilliant.

Any reason you want a flash shot? It doesn't need the flash 999 times out of 1000. Here's one indoors with no flash. ISO was set to auto high to aid in low light exposure, think it chose ISO 400.

Okay these shots were all taken on full auto mode (not had time to learn how to use it yet), the light at the time ranged from evening sun through a few windows in the first shot through to the last pic which was taken in a completely dark room light only by table candles and a few wall lights.

No post progessing on the pics other than a resize and border.
