Canon IXUS 800 IS - Any good ?

Looking at getting this compact camera as a backup to my D50. Anyone here got one ?

Only got mine last week, but from usage so far and the huge amount of reviews I've read it does seem really good for a camera of this size.

I took some at a wedding on Saturday, not checked them yet but will post later.

It's absolutely blummin brilliant.

Any reason you want a flash shot? It doesn't need the flash 999 times out of 1000. Here's one indoors with no flash. ISO was set to auto high to aid in low light exposure, think it chose ISO 400.

Okay these shots were all taken on full auto mode (not had time to learn how to use it yet), the light at the time ranged from evening sun through a few windows in the first shot through to the last pic which was taken in a completely dark room light only by table candles and a few wall lights.

No post progessing on the pics other than a resize and border.
