Canon ixus I Battery charger, help, got new 1 but still low battry!!!!!!!

HI, my sister gave me her Canon Ixus I because she got a new camera and shes lost her charger. So i bought a charger of amazon, said that it would work with many of the canon camera batterys, tho the canon battery charger is called CB-2LUE AND the battery out of my camera is NB-3L? help needed asap due to going on hols! thankz

Have you, you know, put the battery in the charger?

erm yeh, i put it in and the light goes green i have left it for 24hrs and battery still low?

It does happen to batteries eventually, especially if they have been 'mistreated' over the life of it.

update, now when i put it in its showing up as a red light for charging, hmm
