Canon movie mode exposure compensation

I seem to have a problem which I can't find the answer to online.

I recently got the 600D and when I'm in movie mode (manual settings with auto ISO) and set the exposure compensation to whatever, it always exposes normally (i.e. +/-0). I've tried with 2 different lenses but same thing.

Just wondering if anyone else knows if this is wrong/can try it to see if it's just mine that's doing this?

Thanks.

Hmm, was hoping there would be a solution :( haha.

Yeah, manual ISO is probably what I will be doing. It's just that if I'm in an environment where there's high contrast/dynamic lighting then it's going to be a pain changing the ISO every time/the video will look dodgy. Was just hoping for something to use for those kind of scenarios.
