Canon Pixma iP8500 - any good?

I am after a Inkjet printer that will be used for text and also photo prints, my budget is £250. I have been looking at the Canon Pixma iP8500, is this any good?

Any advice would be good.

great printer , if you want great photos use canon paper,
shop aroud for the ink tanks the price varies greatly

I have this printer. Had epson's prior this for ever and can say that this printer is great cannot fault it. The inks are fantastic and the output to Canon's paper is wonderful
