Canon powershot A520, any good. Need quick reply if pos.

As title. I ordered a canon A410 from here yesterday, and recieved an email that everything went through ok, except the "order has been packed" etc email. It now seems the A410 has once again, disappeared from the online catalogue, so I'm assuming its no longer available, and having paid for it and waited in all day for it, I'm assuming it ain't gonna come tonight. Now as its a birthday pressie for the missus, I need a replacement pretty sharpish (I'll phone tomoz and confirm what I suspect) and the A520 seems a good alternative, so my question is, how does the A520 compare to the A410? if its better and worth the extra, I'll order one of these instead.

The A520 has more pixels (4mp vs 3mp), longer zoom (4x vs 3x) and a larger LCD screen (1.8" vs 1.5").

Seems it's worth the bit extra

Cheers for that mate, its obviously better, just wondered if its worth the extra. I'll phone in the morning and check if its in stock and get one of those instead.

Why not get the A610 instead of the A620?, the only difference is that it has 5mp instead of 7mp and its only £165. I have just got mine and its an exellent camera, ive never used the A410 but id imagine the A610 is a lot better and definatly worth the extra. Its got exellent reviews and for £165 its a bargain.

i got my a620 for 195, special deal, but have seen it at £200 odd.
