Canon Powershot G7?

I'm looking at replacing my Sony compact, the P200 with something a little more versatile. I've been looking around on the web as you do and I quite like the look of the G7. I used to have the Powershot G5 which was a cracking piece of kit, and wondered if the G7 would be a good move?

Thanks for the reply mate - I wouldnt be interested in using RAW either for the reasons you state. Jpeg is perfectly acceptable. The G5 is actually better quality than my Sony P200 so I have a good feeling about the G7.

Hmm are they even out yet?

Edit, doesnt look like it I would have liked one for Mexico in a couple of weeks but nevermind.

Its out on the 16th i think. I was thinking of getting one for going to Aus in December.
