Canon RAW files to iPad?

I'm off to Thailand for three weeks and will be taking my 40D and iPad so would like to be able to backup all my RAW's to the iPad. If possible I'd also like to view them on the iPad so I can upload to flickr and facebook while over there.

Any ideas of how this can be done simply?

Which ipad is it?

It's the Retina. I need a CF convertor or that would have been perfect.
