Canon Spring 2014 Cashback

I bought my 700D and a lens at Christmas. Got my cash back inside a month. Just be aware they need copies of the receipts etc.. so best get that scanned in before you start the application :0

edit 100mm macro lens looks tempting

Yes they're pretty quick and efficient with the cash.

One thing to be aware is that they don't recognise grey imports or marketplace sellers from Amazon (if you purchase through Amazon it has to be from them and not a third party). Quite a few people have ended up with no rebates as a result.

al4x, have you had a look at Kerso's site, Flash Camera. He's been on Ebay for years, but has set up his own website. Imports Lenses and Cameras from the US. The body warranties are Country specific but the lenses are Worldwide. He provides a UK bill of sale.

Atm his price for the Canon EF 400mm f/5.6 L USM is £915, but currently out of stock.

I think a few people have used Kerso in the past on this site - he has an excellent reputation from what I gather and I suspect if you contact him he could source that lens.

Also, as posted in the show thread, Canon are offering double cashback on any items bought from selected vendors at The Photography Show, which is on at the NEC until tomorrow.

Regards Kerso, he's excellent and I've bought many things from him but be aware that it's a bit of a lottery with regards to the cashback. Whilst he does provide a UK VAT invoice, the items are still imported and thus not technically eligible. Some people have had (repeated) success claiming cashback on items purchase from him but some have had their claims rejected. There were rumours that Canon is clamping down a bit and checking the serial numbers more carefully to determine where items originated from - I suspect it's just a case of how diligent they happen to be with each individual claim.

Ah yeah that's who I was trying to think of. That's a good price. Doesn't matter about cashback as it's not a lens on it

I was hoping for a bit of 70D or 10-22 temptation, but it's not a very big list. Looks like I'll have to find another excuse to scare the moths in my wallet.

Kerso has a nice price on a 60D but I really want MFA. My 100-400L has never been particularly sharp on my 40D.

That's why I have decided not to take the chance personally
Shops are 300 more than online and might not even have a good copy. Out of everything lack of sharpness gets me the most

Also surprised that with summer there are no wildlife lenses

The Canon EF-s 10-22mm can be had for £439 at the moment, the price took a nose dive around last summer. Very nice lens.

Take a look at

For another £100 or so, you can get the Canon 17-40mm (albeit that is slightly long on a Crop sensor) - and that includes £60 cashback
