Hi :),

Just wondering if anyones got any experience with these cameras?. I will be using one to make a short film in the next few weeks. I've used one a few times before but without much thought, and this is a slightly more serious assignment.
I will be filming in 2 locations. A low light factory and an 18th floor living room with mainly natural light. So far i've bought/borrowed a 7 inch portable lcd monitor (i wont have the option of powering the only video monitor that i can get my hands on), skylight, mild and light blue filters, a tripod, and i'm trying to get my hands on a dolly/small amount of track.
Basically i'm just wondering whether anyone can offer me any essential tips or tricks, and info on how the camera reacts to filters etc :).

Regards, Ben.

Premiere with Magic bullet can add grad blues/oranges but adds it to the complete picture rather than 1/3 or 1/4 of the picture, dont seem to have any control over it.

Other than that you need a Matte box with filters to go onto it that will create the effects :)

:), cheers for the heads up. We've just had a series of g5's with various goodies on and some pc's with avid and premiere. Forgot to mention i've got 2 matte boxes for the xl1 (strange shape, but they hold the filters i've bought so hey :) ).

The problem i seem to have is getting a good white* balance and getting a constant response to colours if that makes any sense?.

*.. Edit.
