I see the net is full of posts like this but the replies to others often don't work & they don't for me either & I Can't get my Cable Netgear router WGR614v6 to work as well as it did before.
I tried in vain to connect wirelessly to our laptop( Win7) & main PC XP so I gave up & ran an ethernet cable to the other room where we use the laptop.
My 1394 speed shows 400.0 Mbps but the LAN only shows 100.0, is this right?
When both computers are on the net the browsing speed slows right down, we had this setup working a couple of years ago when my daughter lived here & the net was full speed on both PC's
I don't have an installation CD altho I seem to remember Virgin sent one with the router but I can't find it.
I tried to load http://192.168.1.1 in the browser for the router settings & altho I get the log in & type 'admin' & password it won't bring up the router config page, any advice welcomed
