Cant access my Bios anymore, is it because of Windows 8.1 and my SSD?

Hi guys

For quite some time now, (over a year) I've not been able to get into my Bios. I have Windows 8.1 and a couple SSD's, upon boot my key presses do no seem to work. I get the motherboard logo appear but when I keep banging on the delete key, the screen just hangs black.

Any idea on how I can get into the Bios now or why it's doing this?

yep tried all that mate long time ago mate, but I dont have the UEFI Bios option available on my troubleshooting menu like the article explains....it's never been there.

you havnt installed windows 8 in uefi have you?

you can try loading optimised defaults and or flashing to latest bios, you should be able to access bios no sweat, though it does flash past quickly so just spam the delete key, thats all I do on a z77 board, works fine

can also be down to the gpu your using in that it doesn't support/display any bios screens so try latest bios

I dont even know what that is or what your asking lmao

I do spam the delete key but it just gives me a black screen.

You mean flash the bios or gpus?

nvm if you don't know what it means,it just means a faster uefi install, but if you've installed it the normal way then that's fine

flash the mb bios to latest version,it could be your graphic card isn't fully supported atm and its not showing any bios screens(and skipping to windows startup/loading)

latest mb bios might cure it and let you see/access the bios

what is your display output, dvi, hdmi, dp?
are you passing through another device if hdmi, av amp?
what are you displaying to, tv, monitor ?

I have DVI and HDMI both plugged into my primary 7950 in crossfire config as I have pc in lounge. The DVI to DVI goes straight to my monitor on my desk, and HDMI to HDMI to TV.

What USB devices have you got connected?

I get the same thing happen if I try to get into the BIOS with my joystick connected?
