Argh this is driving me nuts.
My home server is a Windows Server box but not running active directory.
I just have my username/password replicated on both my PC and the server and this allows me to access shares (including admin ones) seamlessly as the local credentials work on the server.
Now I've just built a new box with a fresh Windows 10 install (albeit a more recent version) and no joy. User/pass is exactly the same and all the networking is configured identically as far as I can see but any attempt to access server shares results in a "Windows cannot access...".
I can browse to the server fine and see the shares, it's only when I try to access them I get the error.
Anyone got any ideas? This is driving me to distraction.
