Hi guys,

upgraded my network lately. win10 on 'server' and my work machine.

i could access all shares ok before i logged into my MS Store account and now its screwed up the shares. seems to be a problem with the way this now works but looking for a solution pls.

folder set to 'everyone' (which now seems utterly pointless). all network set to turn off password protection.

what a bloody stupid new addition. i know 7 brought in a load of issues with 'everyone' too.

any ideas? it wont let me put in pc-name\user in the security bit either.

why does every new windows make sharing harder and harder?

Er, not sure what's wrong but the default 'Make a share' might be Homegroups style gubbins.

Right click, Properties, Sharing, Advanced Sharing
Share it that way, uses normal permissions.
