Has anybody come across any problems getting into Live with the wireless adaptor ?

I got one at the weekend and tried to set it up last night, the xbox can see the my router and picks up a IP address once I've entered the WEP key but it wont connect to live,

When doing the Live test It goes through all the first test's fine but fails when trying to connec to Xbox live,

I've made sure that the DHCP on the router is running and issuing an address, I've even tried putting the xbox in the DMZ and it still doesnt connect.

Just wandering if anyone has come across this problem before ?

You don't use a BT Home Hub by any chance?

If so it'll be the NAT settings; XBOX live needs open NAT and the HH has it closed by default, which you can't change.

No im using a Virgin cable connection with a Belkin N1 router, I've already changed the NAT settings and it still doesnt connect

If nothing else is working, you could try assigning the xbox with a set local IP and then DMZ(open all ports) on that local IP. I had to do that last year to get a decent connection to Live.

Thats wrong, I have a homehub and its open all the time. Its easy to configure and I can use it wirelessly and wired with an open NAT on two xbox's at the same time :)

It's not wrong, when I had one it was strict all the time and the firmware updates that were applied daily prevented telnet access to allow you to change it.

So I sacked it off and bought a Netgear which not surprisingly worked out of the box.

This was however a year ago so they may have changed things recently.

Well I have used 2 home hubs (black ones) and not had to change anything to get onto live.

Well I used a white one so maybe that had something to do with it. It's not just me that had the problem either, if you google something like "bt home hub xbox 360 nat" you'll see quite a few results.

Not that this helps the OPs problem, mind :)
