Can't activate Windows 10 after factory reset

Afternoon,

I have a new MSI laptop (from Overclockers) and I've had to do a couple of factory resets.

After my last factory reset for some reason I have an 'Activate Windows' watermark on my bottom right hand corner.

I've gone to settings > activation and it says

"We can't activate windows on this device because the product key that you have entered has already been used on a different device. Go to the Store to buy genuine Windows"

Why has this happened? I have never entered a product key, nor does the laptop have a product key sticker as this is a Windows 10 build and the key is built in with the image.

I have gone through the troubleshoot of windows activation including trying the 'changed hardware' option and logging in with my Microsoft account but it says 'We can't find any devices link to your Microsoft account that can be used for reactivating the device you're using right now'

Arhhh help?

edit:

I've just logged into my account on the Microsoft website and gone to devices. It has my MSI GT62VR laptop in there twice. Once on the 27th/11 and ones on the 28th/11.

It says "Remove a device if you're trying to install an app or a game on a Windows 10 device and you've reached your device limit. You can install apps or games on up to 10 devices."

Should I try remove one? I'm worried it's locked into some kind of limbo and won't let me reactivate MY Windows 10

edit: This is what I see when I go to my account > devices. Would this have any affect on activating windows? Both the serial numbers of the laptop are the same - so it's clearly the same laptop registered twice.
