Cant activate windows, key already used, say what?

So the full rig I bought has been delivered (Thank you OCUK for that!!) but on starting up, it's saying cant activate windows because the product key was used on another device, and troubleshooting doesn't help. It comes with the error code 0xC004C008. The rig was bought with this preinstalled, I've not done anything to it yet.

What's the deal here?

You’ll probably have to create a post in the customer services for a new key, OCUK must image from a clone.

Would be my guess too, that they just forgot to put the key in

The COA sticker should be stuck to the case somewhere. Enter the key into Windows and activate.

They probably install and set up Windows on one PC and then clone it to hundreds to save time, hence the key is in use. They then have to type in the product key from the sticker but they must have forgotten yours. I`m guessing Sysprep still doesn`t work properly in Windows 10 because that should remove the key before imaging.

You dont Have to use that one, there are others you can use, but whatever you do just take your time and dont let it get to you

Yep if you have an issue with your prebuilt system post in the CS sub forum, staff are really good and will be able to help, just remember with COVID restrictions you might be held in a queue for a little while.
