As title, im trying to add my freenas system to my newly created 'windows 2012 server standard domain', I previously accessed it with CIFS and a standard samba share ? (I assume? - it was just WHS2011 and it access freenas just fine)

But I am having no joy what-so-ever making freenas be visible on the network, the win 2012 server and win 8 machine talk to each other, but not the freenas, I have googled many things and tried a lot for some hours now (apparently I need an active directory, things like this) but I cant make it work - help!? Also freenas 'makes me' add a workgroup name in the active directory setup screen - even though one is not in use, why ? I assume windows doesnt use this now ? Also do I turn off cifs now or not ?

My 2012 server has the domain 'Server.local' and I tried entering this in freenas but im not 100% sure what im doing, it didnt do anything, and when I try to turn on AD it doesnt do it - help! :/
