aaaaaaaargh help me please.
From my music folder on my hard drive I am able to add most albums to i tunes. Now some albums just wont add , I drag them over and drop them in and nothing happens , No no entry sign no error message Nothing they just wont go in . I even tried adding them as individual tracks and its the same story. Damn frustrating! can you help ?

When in iTunes try going to File > Add to Library > selecting folder/track

That always works for me, I never tend to drag songs across into the iTunes window. :)

ok thanks for the replies , BUT the problem isnt with adding all files just some so for instance I drag one album in there , fine. I try with the certain albums I am having trouble with and NO they wont go in if I try drag and drop or , file-add to library, NO nothing like I said no error no nothing just certain albums refuse to go in.
It is very frustrating.

Are you sure the mp3 files are valid? If you drag a corrupt/invalid .mp3 (regardless of its extension) to itunes it will do exactly what you are saying above, you won't see no error, it just won't add. Check the mp3's work in another app first, if they are valid then I don't know.

think its version 2.7 ? Will check later . Using vista 64.
Have only tried the files that wont transfer in media player but they work fine in that ?

So they play in media player but they won't play in iTunes? I'd try converting the files to a different filetype. MP4 maybe. :) Also, a quick search in Google will do you wonders, I typed in your problem and found a fair few suggestions so why don't you try that as well? :)

could you suggest a good free program to do file conversions of this type

Unfortunately, I don't use Windows very much so I wouldn't know off the top of my head, However I have managed to find this on Google.

Use at your own risk, I haven't used any of those tools so I have to mention if anything happens to your system by using any of those tools then I'll not be held responsible. :)

Are they definitely .mp3?

I Believe so but how do I find out for sure I only know that if I do properties on the files they come up with this description
