Can't be upgraded?

I seem to remember reading that dell PCs couldn't be upgraded. Why?

My sister will probably be getting a Dimension 3100 (she didn't much like the idea of me building her a pc. can't think why) which will be more than enough for her, since she doesn't really game. And it just reminded me of reading somewhere that they couldn't be upgraded.

How can they be missing a PCI-E/AGP slot? I thought they came on all motherboards?

Ah, I see. Well it shouldn't be too much of a problem, she probably won't ever want to upgrade the thing anyway.

She's trying to get it for £350-£450. But she really, really isn't keen on me building it (which I can understand. Last time I opened up a pc I killed it). But please, spec away. I'll try and talk her round.
