Can't boot from usb !!!!

So I have just put a new Samsung 850 500gb in my pc as a Windows disk and a Samsung 1tb ssd for games.

I was told it's easier to install Windows via usb,I have everything on the usb but I can't seem to get it to work.

Any ideas as its bugging me now.

Did you use the tool to make the usb a bootable usb and then copy across the ms iso file to the usb?

I think it's all done correctly as I checked and Windows was on the usb

Is it bootable
Use the bootable iso usb thingy that ms have and copy across the iso, its a fast process, should work.

Have you set your motherboard to boot from usb?

I've had to dig out my dvd drive as I've wiped my old ssd and can't check the usb to see if it's ok.

Done it,had to unplug all the other drives,installing now.

Have you got a UEFI board? If so, what settings did you use in Rufus?

I dont think i have one of those boards,im still on a i7920 and quite sure the board is a gigabyte.

what port was you plugging the USB stick in too?

I have a I7 950 and can install fine from a USB stick.

just press F12 (I think) for boot options on startup then select the USB stick
