Cant cast BT sport to Nvidia shield

I have never been so frustrated with a technical problem. I can cast youtube to my shield fine, but both BBC iplayer and BT sport apps refuse to. I get as far as the ready to cast screen but it just hangs when I start trying to play a video. I have searched the internet high and low to no avail. I just want to watch BT sport on the nvidia shield. There must be a way of doing this?

Use web browser on shield for BT sport. I used to cast then I found the Web browser on my Samsung tv was better for BT sport

I have a Samsung JU6400. Would I be able to do it on that?

Try it. Mine is a 2017 Samsung 4k model. Earlier models struggle (have a 2015 that has a Web browser but it struggles to play videos in browser like BT sport)

Got the casting working. Very strange, just disabled the ipv6 setting on the shield, and it started working. Re-enabled it and it's still working.
